The Scolar Publishing Company

Scolar Publishing has been founded by Nándor Érsek in 1994, the current managing director, and Gyula J. Obádovics. Starting with publishing educational books for students on all levels and self-study material for keen professionals, the company gained a name in this sub-field of book publishing by coming out with unusually well-designed and quality products of its kind.
Our very first book was the thirteenth release of the title 'Mathematics' by Gyula J. Obádovics. The success of this title enabled the company to expand further, and by now we feature a broad range of topics, starting from science, history, art, religion and economy to children, computing, health care and fiction.

Hungarian Literature & Foreign Literature
Our company is proud to be the first to publish the works of Ian McEwan in Hungary, and we are also honored to be able to represent the top writers of the modern Scandinavian literature.

History
We also introduced the british historian, A.J.P. Taylor to the hungarian audience, whose impartial work is respected all over Europe.

Health & Lifestyle
The very successful 'Secrets of...' series introduces the reader into the enhancement of the mind, body and spirit. By listing over 35 children books, we are proudly educating the youngs from the earliest ages. How?' series produced by Ravensburger achieved international recognition over the years, while the 'Scolar's Guide for Children' includes topics from the microscopic world, through the dinosaurs to the stars. Introducing the world to the earliest age, each title of the 'Numbers of Life' series covers a topic to teach the children about family, materials, environment, weather, senses and animals.

The 'Scolar Design' books are essential for anyone in the relating industries. These titles can help the designer through the whole process, from planning to finalizing the product.
